In 2011 I was staring down the barrel of hip surgery...
The reason was a little known condition called femoral acetabular impingement or FAI.
This tongue twister of a medical condition meant that I had an abnormally shaped hip bone complete with a cam lesion, subchondral cyst, and labral damage.
At the time, squatting was impossible and even putting on my own socks was very difficult without help from my girlfriend.
I was told surgery was the only option for this condition, but at age 26, I had a hard time accepting that surgery was my only choice. Unhappy with my options, I decided to try to resolve the problem myself before going under the knife.
This began an intensive, multi-year journey of studying every non-surgical method of healing the body that I could find...
