Flexibility is not the answer.  While important to prevent muscular injuries, flexibility alone leaves opportunity for joint and ligament damage.

  1. Flexibility: The range at which your muscles can lengthen
  2. Mobility: The range of motion you have in your joints before they are inhibited by a muscle, ligament, or tendon
  3. Stability: the ability to maintain control of a joint or muscle movement

For example, the QL is the largest muscle in the back and often associated with back pain.  Knots, trigger points, and strains happen when the muscle gets overused, often from sitting.  To prevent over use, you would need flexibility in the QL, hips muscles, quads and hamstrings.  Mobility in the hip joints.  Stability in the core! But how do you do it...

Months 1-3: Fix The Cause

Your body requires balance.  If one area is out of balance, the rest of the body starts to compensate.  In the modern human, there are three things we look to fix first.  Posture, Hips, and Hamstrings...

Months 4-6: Master Your Body

You will learn to create an overall body TSR practice, similar to a yoga practice. You will have developed a weekly schedule that you can follow to keep your body pain free forever

Months 7-9: Mental Training

These are what we refer to as goal months.  We have a goal like the splits, or a back bend, and we will use the TSR method to try and reach them. Many of you may never do a backend, or even want to, but by reaching for these goals you will train your mind and nervous system.  You will learn how to contract muscles while relaxing others.  You will learn deeper self-myofascial release. Rocket-launching you up the flexibility mountain.

Months 10-11: Near-Permanent Pain Relief

The goal is to reach the highest level of flexibility and mobility. Through advanced flexibility techniques (used by monks and kungfu masters) you will push your end range to the limits to reach near permanent flexibility, mobility, and stability.  Preventing chronic pain forever!
