HOW TO DO THE SPLITS IN 60 SECONDS

I was filming some videos the other day and my videographer (Justin) says...

"OK, let's get some clips of you doing the splits"

"Uhh...what? No warmup?"

"Just start stretching and I'll film it."

So how long did it take me to do the splits? 🤔

Turns out it takes exactly 76 seconds 😅 (video sped up slightly so it fits in a 60 second Instagram video.)

Impressive? Well, not really.

What you DIDN'T see was the:

  • Years of loaded stretching +
  • Years of ballistic stretching +
  • Years of targeted tissue work +
  • Years of consistency + mindfulness + training partners + mentors

All of this added up to me getting strong in all ranges of motion. This "systems approach" allowed me to prepare my body to express maximal mobility with minimal warmup.

After all, the end-goal of flexibility training is to NOT need to do much. 💪
